Wy’East Trail Project
With the community, for the community

The Wy’East is a 2-mile paved trail that connects Rockwood to Downtown Gresham. And right now, it’s a bit of a blank slate. We want to imagine what the Wy’East Trail could look like with you—so everyone feels safe and welcome. We’re kicking off the Wy’ East Trail project this summer with on-the-ground events and engagement opportunities throughout Gresham. Come be a part of the trail’s legacy!

Want to get involved?

    • Share your ideas through our poll and idea board below.
    • Sign up for updates on the project, events on the trail, and ways to participate.

Why?

The City received a grant to work with the Gresham community to create a vision for the Wy’ East Trail. We want to hear from you:

  • What do you want to see on the trail?
  • What would make it somewhere you want to spend your time?

Together, we'll dream up and design a vision for trail amenities. Do we need more art, lighting, bike stations, seating, better connections, educational installations, or interactive features? What else can we imagine?

Once we identify projects together, the City will work to obtain funding to make our vision a reality!

The Wy’East runs along the MAX light rail line from the Ruby Junction Station in Rockwood to the Cleveland Station in Historic Downtown Gresham. This paved path is part of a loop that connects both the Springwater and Gresham-Fairview trails to make a 6-mile loop through Gresham.
