Updated Transportation System Plan

The draft Transportation System Plan (TSP) is aligned with the City’s new goals for Climate, Equity, and Safety—as well as using feedback from the community to prioritize Connectivity, Mobility, Accessibility, and Economic Development.

Now, we want to know: Did we get the draft TSP right?

1.

Climate: The draft TSP makes it easier for people to travel without cars by prioritizing investments in bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure and improving connections to transit. Do these actions do enough to reduce transportation-related emissions?

2.

Equity: The draft TSP prioritizes projects in low-income and ethnically diverse neighborhoods because these community members face the biggest transportation barriers. Does this do enough to support our most vulnerable community members?

* required
3.

Safety: This draft TSP makes travel safer for everyone by prioritizing safer street designs, better speed management, public education programs, and the use of innovative safety technologies. Does this approach go far enough to improve safety?

4.

Connectivity, Mobility, Accessibility and Economic Development: The draft TSP makes it easier and more efficient for people to reach goods, services, activities, and destinations using a variety of travel options. It also supports economic development by building and maintaining a transportation network that attracts new businesses and helps existing ones grow, expand, and stay in the community. Do you think the strategies will effectively advance these goals?
